Main milestones in the professional career of Martín de la Puente

At the age of 14, Martín won his first Spanish Championship, a milestone in the history of national tennis. In the following seasons he would win three consecutive U18 World Championships. In 2016 he fulfilled his dream taking part in the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, being the youngest athlete of the modality with only 17 years old, which he had just turned. On this occasion, he managed to obtain a Paralympic Diploma, which certifies his brilliant career and the effort he has put into every training session.

Undoubtedly, his explosion at international level and the moment when all eyes were on him was in 2022, when he finished the year as number 1 in the wheelchair tennis world ranking in the doubles category. This comes after he won his first Grand Slam, the U.S. Open, and also after he won the Masters Cup in the Doubles category.

In singles, he is currently ranked number 5.
